ABOUT
I'm a driven and ambitious person who tries to seize all opportunities that come my way. I have spent nine years working in an accountancy practice collecting knowledge and experience from a widely varying portfolio of clients. I specialise in preparing management and statutory accounts, both from source documents and a populated trial balance.

My attention to detail allows me to prepare accurate figures and my strong work ethic allows me to do so in a timely manner.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
PROJECT ACCOUNTANT
I have worked for Topps Tiles Plc as a Project Accountant, turning my hand to IFRS16 and other technical projects. I rebuilt and refined their lease accounting process to make it part of the business-as-usual monthly reporting process.

I also assumed the role of Finance Business Partner to Topps' newly acquired subsidiary, Pro Tiler Tools. This involved building and implementing monthly reporting procedures from nothing. I also prepared the management accounts and presented them and key KPI information to the board of directors on a monthly basis.
PRACTICE EXPERIENCE
AUDIT AND ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT MANAGER
Before moving into industry I worked for Magma Chartered Accountants (now Daines) in their Audit and Accounting department. My role focused on the preparation of statutory accounts medium and large groups and carrying out the statutory audit. I led teams to help meet all of our deadlines and built great relationships with clients to manage the process start to finish.

Before joining management, I studied and completed the ACCA and AAT qualification alongside working as a trainee accountant. This stage is where I gain lots of knowledge of small and medium business and how they operate. My fascination with owner managed businesses is what fuelled me in my development throughout this period and still does to this day.
